My Bachelorette Party

I flat out said I was not participating in this lewd act, I had two children I wanted nothing to do with getting ”Hammered” wearing phallic shaped objects around my neck and doing shots off of random mens chests. I would sip champagne at my best, my favourite tipple and participate in girly banter, but i refused to leave the kids with anyone but my mum and especially at home, where my mum was not was difficult. I wasn’t having one, my partner was having nothing to do with any form of strippers or I had threatened all sorts, the poor boy.

However, I got to Tanzania and my friends had arranged a surprise bridal shower, of course there was plenty of phallic games and cocktails, and I did get rather tiddly, but I had my mum so i felt rest assured.Image

I was very thankful for my three bridesmaids organising such a fun affair. I even got my dancing shoes on when we crashed the maid of honour’s brothers night at some party. My bridesmaids arranged lots of games, all of course intended to make the user incredibly drunk.

There was food and cocktails and a surprise questionnaire to see how well the bride and groom knew each other, I of course passed with only 3 wrong answers, but managed to rack up 6 shots for that? I wasn’t complaining after the first one.  Image

We played making a ”penis” out of play-doh! We had time limit to see who had created the best one. And then there was drawing a man blindfolded without taking our pencils off the page we had to also give him a set of private parts. My drawing was pretty good if I must say and I was up against some real life artists!

Another game, was where each of the attendees took an object from their purses and hid it into a bag. My job was to guess which of these inanimate objects belonged to  each attendee.

I had such a lovely night and the only bachelors i danced with were two best friends from school and my friends little brother, And i’m pretty sure me making them spin me around and around isn’t on most bachelorette’s hit list! Pretty Tame night, oh, except for the throwing up.

Big thanks to my friends who could make it here in Tanzania and those who organised this deserve the biggest hugs and thank you’s that I can give.

March Madness! Busiest Birthday Week Antics!

March was a bit mad, a lot mad, we like it that way! Prepare for this one to be a LONG POST , Birthdays and baby showers kept us nice and busy with things to be organising.

It was my fiancé’s 28th birthday, then the following day it was little mans first birthday party!! then during the week his actual birthday, and to top it all off the weekend saw the arrival of my darling goddaughters first birthday and her party too! 🙂

Full of busy and so many pictures and details I have to share and they are a tad late! OOPS!

Landon’s first birthday party consisted of just a few very close family and friends, as i decided madly to cater most of the event buffet food myself (bar the sandwiches and decorative desserts) and I picked a nice small room that would hold about 30 people. Genius. I couldn’t have had physically anymore people there and it meant it was just a dead small personal event for us.

His party theme was Jungle Carnival. I got stuck between a gorgeous jungle cake i had found, (CAKES-BY-KAREN—– https://www.facebook.com/cakes.bykaren.39) and some gorgeous carnival party decor from Fisher Price on an American website. Anyway we combined the ideas into one jungle carnival party!

I’m clearly going to be quite excited about the cakes and cake-pops and give-aways again! 🙂 here’s a few pics of the venue and the edibles!

Some of the food I made at home was some basic cupcakes, a huge stack of mars bar crispie and lots of other savoury items including little homemade quiches which although i don’t eat I was excited to make in my new mini pink quiche dishes! (SAD MUMMY)

As for our outfits, daddy bears doesn’t count, no one cares about his OOTD, as pregnant as i was it was not easy to find something that looked dressy but not too over the top, so i decided on a plain navy dress, heavily accentuating the rotund protrusion that is THE BUMP, tights and some trusty Kurt Geiger Ellison boots.

Little Guy wore a giraffe outfit to start, because quite frankly, who doesn’t love a baby dressed up as an animal!! And then he wore a Nautica shirt, tie and waistcoat ensemble, with Ralph Lauren Shoes, —–OBVIOUSLY RALPH

It was great to see everyone and celebrate with them our little guy’s First Birthday, couldn’t believe it was nearly a year since I had been in hospital having my c-section! He certainly wasn’t just 8lb 4oz and 24 inches long anymore. He’d grown in since and mischief levels!

When we got home I allowed him to open some presents a few days early! My word had he been spoilt. I wish I could even remember them all now just a month later to post about my gratitude.

Antics of the Birthday Week!

Luckily daddy bear could take the next day off work, so even if it meant his birthday ‘day’ was daddy free he would at least have had one day in the week with both of his parents together to celebrate. So in true ‘pregnant whale’ fashion I treated us all to a carvery meal at our local ‘Toby Carvery’. It’s safe to say we managed to supersize and eat A LOT.

Of course the trip wouldn’t be complete without a little jaunt to the shops nearby! Where in true ‘me’ fashion i found some fab Ralph Lauren goodies for the BUMP, and Landon got some toys and clothes too! Mummy got a new bag and some hair products which were reduced! YEY!

The next two days consisted of pre-birthday excursions for the little guy! A friend and I took him to the local beach on a sunnier day, shock horror, a sunny day in England. OK! It was 8 degrees i chose to not wear a coat and till this day I regret it! But it looked misleadingly warm! Here he enjoyed plenty of mummys fish and chips! (THIEF), ice cream and plenty time in the park.

The day was finally here! His birthday! eek! A full year the little guy had been causing turmoil in our home! :)The day was pretty chilled, car jaunt with ‘Auntie Charlie’ to, it’s safe to say he was well and truly spoiled, I only wish i’d taken more pictures of him with his presents from mum and dad! However he did get plenty with his toy kitchen and Toy Ferarri ride on!

As if he thought the fun was over the next day on our mummy and Landon adventures he went for lunch and then swimming with another pregnant bud of mine 🙂 To which her boyfriend reminded us that we were little whales going back to our home environment! The cheek!

FINALLY! An end to the week! And the only thing we had left to celebrate was my goddaughter’s first birthday ❤ Blessed to be her god mummy! Her party was all ladybug themed and gorgeous! I know she was spoiled on her day.
