Shopping, sun and fun!

Well of course we started the weekend on Friday with a full day intensive shop. Intending to treat myself and really I spoiled us all!
I went shopping with a friend from our Thursday playgroup. Decidedly I told Scott she bought more to make me look better, obviously I bought more I ave zero self control!

I bought myself two coats! Dear me did I need two!!? One a gorgeous ‘leather’ quilted off white biker jacket from Zara and a quilted double breasted navy Barbour number. Anyway they make me happy! Haha!

I got myself a great pair of heels from Dorothy Perkins reduced massively! I’ll post a shot of my shoe shelf and you will see I really didn’t need anymore heels but a girl has got to have her accessories!! Keep in mind this is my “heel shelf” flats and comfies don’t have space on here. I would love a shoe room!! There’s a pair missing that I have worn recently and are still at my front door.

20130707-012607.jpg
Here’s a pic of our haul. There’s no way I can go through everything I bought so I’ll just do the best of the bits for the kiddies πŸ™‚ those are always the best.

These are Landons holiday bits from baby GAP. It’s so hard to find romper suits for over age 12 months so I’m really glad I found this! And a rash guard swim too to keep him covered up.

As well as shopping! We had a little play date with wyatt’s little girlfriend! Sienna Mae is 6 days older than him so it will be great for them to play and grow up together. She’s so gorgeous! We love her πŸ™‚

June shopping haul! :)

So it’s been a while since I posted a shopping haul! And this month I’ve been pretty good! Sorry if you don’t like these posts, I however am far too interested in shopping and hearing other people spoiling themselves. Little disclaimer so don’t read if it will offend or come off braggish I usually just get over excited about kiddies clothes! However I can get excited about buying things for me now I’m not a host to baby.

We’ll chat about me first! Wahoo! I needed to get some more of my conditioner as it had run out so I willingly spent the cash and forked out for my one constant beauty buy! This time I got the color care version of my usual Fekkai haircare. I’m sure it’s just as effective as I usually use “glossing”. My hair is coloured so it should help maintain its condition. I used a stand in for a week until I went shopping and as supposedly nourishing as it was meant to be it was not at all! Thank god I have my baby back.

I also bought some benefit “they’re real” mascara Β£19.50 and a Chanel foundation “perfection lumiere” which at Β£36.00 is a little pricey if you use it frequently, I however only use lightly and it may last me quite a while! Makeup stash updated.

20130625-220949.jpg

20130625-221021.jpg

20130625-221051.jpg

I picked my wedding shoes πŸ™‚ a glitzy Steve Madden number. Nothing fancy as the beach, African paths and dirt are probably not going to help any shoes!

20130625-221222.jpg

I decided I needed a little clutch bag for my trip to Africa so I hit the Kurt Geiger sale and bagged myself a simple black one.

20130625-221309.jpg

Speaking of Kurt Geiger I ordered two pairs of shoes a kg number and a mine west pair to take away I can’t wait for those to come later this week!!! I’ve gone a bit shoe mad lately!! πŸ™‚

For the wedding I also thought the kiddos needed plenty of formal clothes so whilst I have their outfits picked out for the ceremony I thought something to wear for dinner would be sweet. So I picked these two mamas and papas outfits! I can’t wait to see them in these!!!

20130625-221427.jpg

Dresses were needed for our trip away for dinners in the evening etc. so I picked two sheer chiffon maxi dresses. One blush pink from miss self ridges and the other from Next

20130625-221849.jpg

Can be found here

I decided that whilst Barbour had a sale it was incredibly worthwhile to buy a coat to put away from the winter so I have picked this gorgeous double breasted biker style quilted jacket.

20130625-222053.jpg

For the kiddies today I bought lots of little nick nacks. A book with an integrated puppet that Landon is loving!

20130625-222204.jpg

A few little tops for holidays for Landon.

20130625-222224.jpg

I couldn’t help myself in buying some little Hugo boss things for my boys to match in πŸ™‚

20130625-222343.jpg

20130625-222352.jpg

20130625-222359.jpg

Whilst shoe shopping I also managed to get some shoes for the next size for Landon πŸ™‚ little ugg trainers which look incredibly comfortable.

And another pair for me! Eek! Shoes shoes shoes.

20130625-222707.jpg

I do need a massive clear out. So I’ve bought some things to replace the clothes I need to throw out. I really don’t need any clothes 6 wardrobes and two sets of drawers is a tad extreme but I hate throwing things out and I clearly have shopping problems! Haha!

I got a gorgeous top from Laura Ashley

20130625-222908.jpg

A dress from Wal G who I haven’t bought anything from before but this was so cute it could be daytime or evening.

20130625-222947.jpg

I also got some cream skinny jeans from river island

20130625-223020.jpg

I’m in the middle of deciding how to re-do the play room so of course a trip to Laura Ashley was needed! Bought a gorgeous rug! I think I’m going with lights blue hues in the room.

20130625-223131.jpg

And two little pillows until I find some I really for my bedroom these are just plain ones.

20130625-223206.jpg

Hope everyone has had fun shopping recently! I’ve only managed to fit in two real shopping days and I’m sure I’m going to need another before our holiday next month!

Xoxo enjoy! And let me know what good deals you find

Four days old and dragged to Next

Obviously the ideal thing to do is shopping four days post birth! The cravings for the shops never subside and especially not for gorgeous kiddy clothes. So being a next blogger I think it’s only fair to share the little haul I bought for both my wee men.

For my big boy I bought him plenty of tops to take on holiday! I love their multipacks as they’re such great value!

20130603-212656.jpg

These two gorgeous ones will go with any kind of bottoms casual or smarter! Found here

20130604-094345.jpg

Daddy picked this little goonies top.

20130604-094521.jpg

these sleep suits are a fave of mine I have them in a smaller size for Wyatt and we bought them in 12-18 months for Landon as he’s just fitting into them now. Such gorgeous quality suits, easy to put on and plenty of room to grow. Not to mention you can wash and wash and wash them and they don’t wear!

Little guy wasn’t as spoiled as big guy was! πŸ™‚ baring in mind he’s potentially got nearly all of the newborn collection! I’ll need it all over again in the bigger sizes

We bought two pairs of scrummy dungarees. A sheep pair. And a little blue elephant

20130604-104826.jpg

20130604-104846.jpg

We also bought these adorable monkey bottomed dungarees! πŸ™‚

20130604-105004.jpg

20130604-105015.jpg

We couldn’t resist buying two shirt onesies. They’re so adorable again for more relaxed or smart occasions.

The light blue one found here and the other here

20130604-111401.jpg

20130604-111422.jpg

Couldn’t resist this gorgeous little hooded romper. For only Β£10.00 for a little outfit it’s just too cute!

And we couldn’t leave daddy out of all the fun so I got wyatt a little daddy t-shirt .

20130604-111723.jpg

Ooh dear me there’s just so many scrummy clothes at Next! Can’t wait to go back and buy even more! #shameful #shopaholic!

Nutmeg Clothing Review

As supermarket Morrison’s plc. Have teamed up with Kiddicare for their mother and baby essentials in store I’ve been hearing for a while about their clothing range, Nutmeg!

Since they don’t have an online website the only chance was to go in store, and it has to be a fair sized store to find one with the clothing wear section. Found one and I found with it a SALE.

I love a sale it means I can excuse myself whilst I pick up lots of bargains all because I will be putting it on my blog! Giving me a justful and reasonable cause πŸ™‚

I found so many great things, much more than what I expected. The range is new so it’s not huge and it’s yet to compete with other stores. But value for money was excellent (especially considering the prices you see in the tickets are double the price I paid), the quality of the clothes was great, nothing flimsy and it all looks easy care to wash. Definitely an up and comer! And another reason to keep swapping supermarkets to find the best “food bargains” cough cough, make excuses to buy different baby clothes!

Here’s my finds! Enjoy!

Cath Kidston Kids!

Today I thought it was about time to retire Landon from the yummy mummy changing bag and actually use one of my millions of bags! The money I’ve spent on lots of designer ones to just sit in the wardrobe depressed me big time!

I’m going to save the yummy mummy bag for the new baby! 3 weeks to go! πŸ™‚
Think I’m going to do it for my hospital bag, as I haven’t packed that yet!!! Everything’s out but I haven’t sorted it. Bad bad bad pregnant woman!

And little guy has his little backpack with everything he could need in it! And so far he loves it! πŸ™‚

In his bag he has (nappies, wipes, snack, food, spoons, a drink, a dummy and a bib) sorted! Mummy can use a handbag for a few weeks!

His bag is so dinky it’s adorable! It’s cowboy print from Cath Kidston.

For the link to it online click Here

And at Β£15.00 it was excellent value πŸ™‚

Next baby: new season clothes

Next sent me a promotional brochure of their summer collection this week! And one thing really stuck out!!! A gorgeous little pair of dungarees for newbie! Pastel turquoise with a little giraffe down one side! I couldn’t wait till we made our next, next directory order! Had to go in store and buy then ASAP!

They can be found online here

Inco

20130504-201653.jpg

I could not be more in love with them!!!
Love their clothes and I love finding soft dungarees. I usually splurge on designer things so the Β£16.50 price was very appealing aswell as I know the quality speaks for itself!

Happy Shopping!!

Nesting? No just a shopaholic

As if in some sort of lewd preparation for the babies arrival I took my son Landon out on a gorgeous little mummy baby date (not that every day isn’t a lovely mummy baby date, but mummy’s spirits were certainly higher than usual based on the shopping I managed)

Summer’s arrival is imminent? Ha! Of course not it’s England, I’m accepting the 11 degrees my car registered today as maybe the hottest it’s going to get and ran straight to the store to but outdoor toys for the kiddos.

I found a fab swing suitable for babies toddlers and then older children with two different seat types. That was by “plum” . I haven’t gotten it up yet, that’s tomorrows task however here’s a pic of how it’s meant to look and the packaging πŸ™‚

20130429-182519.jpg

20130429-182525.jpg

We then found a Keter playhouse, for me a plastic one is only going to be a temporary solution as they outgrow them so quickly then we can get a bespoke wooden one πŸ™‚ I have built this one! Whilst the plastic frame is a tad thin it’ll do the job for the short summer we ever get! And even better it was so simple to put together! No tools required!

20130429-182838.jpg

20130429-182848.jpg

The two other outdoor toys we got today are just Tesco specials! A bouncy castle and a sand and water play table.

Again the bouncy castle we haven’t set up but the sand and water table went down well next to his little playhouse.

20130429-183133.jpg

20130429-183144.jpg

20130429-183151.jpg

As if the shopping ended there? To my partners dismay it did not! I love Carters for baby clothing! It’s such a shame it’s not more widespread in the UK! I thought I would just order a few essentials or else we could end up with a whole lot of carters baby things! So i only got two packs of baby grows for 0-3 months. I love the designs and they’re so generous with the sizes lengthways but still so snuggly fitting for the tum!

20130429-183435.jpg

20130429-183440.jpg

20130429-183445.jpg

20130429-183451.jpg

20130429-183458.jpg

The fabrics are so easily washed, and I almost don’t want to put clothes on top of the vests they’re so cute! Well worth whatever they may cost, luckily for us they’re exceptionally reasonably priced!

Then, in keeping with the “summer is coming, or so were hoping theme” we got a few t-shirts from Mothercare . Perfect for our holidays even if there’s no sun in England. These amazed me, fabrics were a good quality cotton with brill printed designs for TWO POUND FIFTY EACH!!! Nothing is better value than that! So both boys got some of the t-shirts…..

20130429-183909.jpg

20130429-183915.jpg

We love books so whilst we were in tesco we bought a book to read around the shops and checked out their own brand Florence and Fred baby clothing. They had this super cute Disney Pixar sleep suit perfect for new baby!

20130429-184012.jpg

20130429-184017.jpg

Next stop was Mamas and Papas of course we needed more newborn clothes? No! Potentially could stock a whole store with newborn. But couldn’t resist this little newborn gem anyway!

20130429-184129.jpg

Asda and Nextalso treat us to some excellent quality clothes πŸ™‚ a baby romper from George at Asda for only Β£6.00 and a little softest Cotton top from next was also Β£6.00! Bargains

20130429-184356.jpg

20130429-184403.jpg

As if we hasn’t scored enough bargains we found an amazing baby record book from Marks and Spencer. Reduced to Β£4.00. Anyone who could refuse that needs medical help!!! So unlike most descriptions and online stored I’ll show you insert pages!! It’s always so hard to order when you can’t see the inside pages.

20130429-184549.jpg

20130429-184600.jpg

20130429-184607.jpg

20130429-184613.jpg

20130429-184621.jpg

20130429-184631.jpg

20130429-184637.jpg

The perfect mix between photo pages, inserts to collect little keepsakes and pages to write all about your little ones! Well advised to buy a Marks and Spencer’s baby record book!

Since the kids had been spoilt it was definitely mums turn to be spoiled. So I bought myself some Fekkai conditioner πŸ™‚ pricey at Β£32.00 for a 473ml bottle but the things it does to my hair are unbelievable!!! I refuse to use many other brands (redken and kerastase are the exceptions) my favourite one is this olive oil enriched formula one!

20130429-185002.jpg

Then I thought, ooohh he’ll let’s be whimsical! Lets buy a useless Jamie Oliver mini muffin cake stand it was cute and reduced πŸ™‚ everyone loves mini things!!

20130429-185057.jpg

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Monday! πŸ™‚ well and truly nested buying a few little bits now. That’s my excuse anyway!!

Mini Vanilla Purchase!

Bump countdown is officially on! And there are so many cute things I am dying to buy! However I am restraining myself massively! I did but a few things this week, a few Ralph Lauren rompers, and some Ralph bodysuits and a Ralph blanket for newbie! (Will do a full Ralph haul post eventually!)

But what I loved this week was the gorgeous sleep suit! It looks like grown up pj’s in baby onesie form! I ordered this from Panache Kids they have a selection of designer baby wear! I love this with my affliction to Africa all of the animals make my heart melt! Delivery was quick and reasonable at Β£5.00 and it came before the week was out. The material of this is gorgeous! A stiffer cotton and the sizing is very generous for the age (0-3)

Advise everyone to go and have a browse on both panache kids website and the direct mini vanilla page!

Busy adventures of a rambunctious 13 month old

Whichever way you swing it, a mummy’s day at toddler groups and baby outings is usually an excellently devised ploy for “mummy socialisation”. Usually we get other mummies involved, get chit chatting and make effort into meeting new mummies! Selfish isn’t it? Definitely not, I’m not feeling very guilty about it, my son gets to enjoy himself in a plethora of locations all catered specifically to his cognitive and motor skill development with themes and colors and appropriate little activities and mummy gets to feel normal! In a crowd of people who know the score, the other mummies (a breed different from childless women who have time to draw on their faces with pristine detail, not the crayon style squiggle I manage to throw on each morning) all understand that sometimes it takes three attempts to get your pants on the right way, sometimes; it’s impossible to contemplate drinking for fear of H.I.T ( hangovers with toddler) this breed of people, the mummies are a great resource for moaning, worrying and endless chatting, they also won’t mind when you can’t really be bothered with dress shopping but would rather have a looksie in mamas and papas or mother care.

Today we had one of those days, we visited Squiggles and Giggles our new favourite haunt on a Thursday, may have been distracted by a shop! And we then went to drop mummies car at the garage, visited our local library to drop off books and attend story and rhyme time with my nephew and sister in law and even had time to go to soft play after!

BEWARE: this ones full of pictures! Over proud mother!

Squiggles and Giggles

Not that I want the place to be so full I lose my place but this really is a fantastic place! Well worth the awards it’s won! The owner, Suzanne really deserves medals! I mean all those children, sticky, covered in goop and paint and pen and making a mess in her lovely set up! Sainthood imminent!

Today’s theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar πŸ™‚ there was paint! An incredible assortment of “sensory” toys, more like a treasure trove of all the lovely things he’s not allowed at home but can go nuts with at squiggles and giggles πŸ™‚ and he loves it! I love it too! No cleaning up! There was squishy splat bags and caterpillars everywhere! There was a cooking area with pans and lovely green spaghetti all fun to shove hands in! There was crunchy crispies to appease the messy nature of toddlers. All in all it was just such a ball! The other mummies are lovely too. Could be an acquaintance in there or two πŸ™‚

πŸ™‚ here’s a post on recreating some squiggles and giggles creative play ideas at home!

http://shareandremember.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/rainbow-rice-garden-sensory-play.html?m=1

For rainbow rice!

Afterwords the shops found us…. Uh oh! However we did not spend a great deal of money!! Picked up just a few bits for our impending holidays (July) and a little pressie for my goddaughter. All from Matalan. πŸ™‚ not that I looked for me but the kiddies had some fab things in today! Really reasonable where price was concerned! Actually rather bargainous!

20130425-212117.jpg

20130425-212122.jpg

20130425-212130.jpg

Some really fab little pinstripe shorts were only 5 pounds!!!! And the two pack of cotton ones were 4 pound!! What more could you want for clothes that will get sandy, sticky, wet and covered in sunscreen!

The library was fun my nephew enjoyed it particularly a lot more than Landon did, but he will be persuaded that listening is fun eventually! πŸ™‚ he did enjoy the music parts afterwards. And we forgot the camera in the car! No library pictures I’m afraid! 😦

Soft play was a different story! Mad running around like headless child. We tried one we hadnt been to today Landon had oodles of fun there!

The only problem with my son is that even after all of the running and playing he got to do today! It still didn’t wear him out! I’m not sure if anyone has any tips on disciplining/keeping in order a part monkey with the agility and sleuth of a panther cheeky little critter!

However we’re doing excellent on the nap / milk front. No bottles!!! Except for sleepy time. Well within our recommended amount daily as he only has one in the evening for bedtime now and the rest as additives in meals or yesterday he had a milkshake. I wasn’t quite sure I was going to be able to fight the bottles away from him. And today we didn’t even manage a nap! Just a catnap in the car journey. However I’m keen to keep the nap as a grouchy baby is just no fun come 5pm with an hour and a half to go until bath/bed! πŸ™‚

I think it’s safe to say Landon had a fun packed day and can’t wait for his next all about him day!

Next goodies! Again! :)

I love love love love Next nearly as much as I love Ralph Lauren, recently I think i’m close to accumulating their whole collection for newborn children. I went into my local store today to check out some more things I didn’t have to add to the collection.

Undeniably their goods are stylish, high quality and they last through all the milk spills, baby food spills and other generic childhood accidents!

This is what we managed to pick up today πŸ™‚ A few things for new baby and a lovely top for little man, both of whom already have far too many clothes!
